‘The Clone Wars’ Fan Art Roundup – “Shattered”

Art inspired by the third episode in the Siege of Mandalore arc, "Shattered"

With Maul captured and the end of the war seemingly in sight, one could almost be lured into a false sense of security as they go into the third episode of the Siege of Mandalore arc, the appropriately titled “Shattered”. Composer Kevin Kiner’s haunting Blade Runner-esque score may seem soothing on the surface but it has a sinister chill to it that betrays the heartache to come. Rex and Ahsoka share a tender heart to heart about their lives as soldiers before all hell breaks lose and we’re made to witness Order 66 all over again. We all knew this was coming but it doesn’t make it any easier, does it?

Luckily for Ahsoka, Rex’s momentary hesitation and quick thinking – and, let’s face it, Ahsoka’s own plot armour – spares her from suffering the same fate as so many of her former colleagues and friends. Fans hoping to see Ahsoka and Maul team up to defeat a common enemy were, sadly, let down but the two errant Force users are united in their quest to stay alive along enough to make it into other Star Wars stories. But while the ruthless Maul goes on a murderous rampage through the ship’s corridors, Ahsoka tries desperately to find a way to save her friend… and herself.

Here are some of the incredible artworks inspired by the episode “Shattered”.
