SDCC to Host ‘Clone Wars’ 10th Anniversary Panel

The Clone Wars are heading to San Diego Comic-Con next month for a special anniversary panel

The dearly loved and critically-acclaimed animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with a bang. Earlier this month, Funko announced that it will be launching a new range of Clone Wars Funko Pop! figures and this week, Lucasfilm announced that it will be holding a special anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

The panel will be moderated by Amy Ratcliffe, the Managing Editor for Nerdist and a regular contributor to StarWars.Com. She will be joined on stage by the show’s Supervising Director Dave Filoni and a bevy of special guests to look back on the show’s six-season run and ongoing legacy.

  • When: 11:45a.m. to 12:45p.m., 19 July 2018.
  • Where: Room 6BCF, San Diego Convention Centre.

Unfortunately, it appears that there are no plans to live-stream the event for viewers at home, but there’s a good chance that the panel will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube and/or the official Star Wars site for the rest of us to enjoy at a later time.

In any case, the panel promises to be a real treat for fans of the series and who knows what surprises Filoni and co may have in store for us. Perhaps those unfinished story arcs will be adapted into new comics or novels. Perhaps the Maker himself, George Lucas, will make a rare special appearance. Or perhaps our prayers for a Siege of Mandalore film will finally be answered…
