Ashley Eckstein Dons Ahsoka-Themed Outfit at ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Premiere

Her Universe founder's latest custom outfit pays homage to her much-loved character, Ahsoka Tano.

Fans were thrilled to see Ahsoka Tano’s voice actor Ashley Eckstein attending the world premiere of The Rise of Skywalker last month but what really caught their attention was the stylish Ahsoka-inspired outfit the Her Universe founder wore to the star-studded event.

The vibrant red-orange velvet suit was adorned with a blue and white striped lapel (clearly modelled after Ahsoka’s lekku and montrals) and was designed by Andrew MacLaine. MacLaine was one of the winners of the 2014 Her Universe Fashion Show and has created a number of custom outfits for Eckstein in recent years, including the much-loved Ahsoka Tano LEGO couture dress she wore back in 2016. Eckstein completed her look with some Ahsoka-inspired braids and makeup by Veronica Nunez.

Since the film was not even a month old at the time of writing, I’ve avoided discussing a certain detail from The Rise of Skywalker both here and on social media. Those of you who have already seen the final instalment in the Skywalker saga will know exactly which scene I’m referring to and what it might imply. I’ll be discussing that scene in an upcoming article later this month, so feel free to follow Team Ahsoka on Twitter to be notified when it has been published!
